SSSTS – Site Supervisors Safety Training Course is provided by Learning for Life London, for those who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities, require an understanding of legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities and for knowledge in safely managing construction sites.

This course is for you if you are considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities.
Who Should Attend SSSTS Training?

This course is necessary for all construction site managers, agents, quantity surveyors, construction directors and project directors, and persons who are, or are about to be, responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff and workforce.
This training programme is known as the industry standard for any employees who work in a supervisory position on United Kingdom Construction Group sites, to achieve a broad understanding of construction site health and safety, welfare and environmental matters. It highlights legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of:

• Health and Safety law and how it applies to supervisors
• Your Supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely
• Risk Assessments and the need for method statements
• Effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
• Monitoring site activities effectively
• Timely intervention when bad practice is identified

You must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded a CITB Construction Skills Certificate.
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.
